Drones operated by Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) struck two advanced Russian air defense systems — the Pantsir-S1 and the Buk-M3 — in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region.
The attack was recorded on video and released by the press office of the Ukrainian intelligence service.

The footage shows a Pantsir-S1 missile and anti-aircraft gun system attempting to intercept a Ukrainian drone with a missile, unsuccessfully. The Russian crew then tries to use 30 mm anti-aircraft cannons, also without success. The drone counterattacks but misses on the first strike. The crew attempts to maneuver the vehicle to escape, but on the second attempt, the drone directly hits the combat module of the Pantsir-S1 system.
Although there is still no confirmation of the complete destruction of the system, analysts note that the attack hit the most critical part of the platform, making extensive and costly repairs necessary — even in the case of partial damage.
Another target hit was a self-propelled Buk-M3 system, damaged in the radar area — a key component for the functioning of the air defense system. The impact will require, at minimum, a lengthy and expensive repair process.

GUR drones also attempted to strike a 9S19 “Ginger” radar, associated with the S-300V system. However, according to the available footage, the strike did not successfully hit the target with precision.
So far, no official information has been released regarding the specific drone models used. However, based on the interface and operational pattern, it appears they are the same drones previously used in attacks on Russian targets in the occupied Crimea region, including air defense systems.
